MarginLoop

How we price it, and what the price covers.

A free fit check, then a quoted fixed-fee diagnostic against your own data, then an optional monthly subscription per site. The subscription prices are published below. The diagnostic is quoted per account, because it depends on your site count, your product range, and the state of the data we are given.

HOW IT STARTS

Three steps, and what each one costs

Nobody is asked to commit to software before a diagnostic has run against their own figures. Here is the whole sequence, so there is nothing to discover on the call.

  1. Step 1

    Fit check

Free · thirty minutes · no data needed

We look at what systems you run, what you can export from them, and whether there is a commercial question here worth answering. If your data will not support one, we say so on the call.

An honest answer about whether to go further.

  2. Step 2

    Paid diagnostic

Real data · one defined question · fixed fee agreed before any data is shared

We ingest your real sales, purchase, stock and supplier data, produce the morning list it would have sent, and hand over the evidence behind every line, measured against one or two success criteria we agree first, so neither of us argues about it afterwards.

Your own morning list, and an evidence pack built from your figures.

  3. Step 3

    Ongoing subscription

Optional monthly subscription · per site, at the published tier price

Only if both sides see enough recurring value. Recurring ingestion, a fresh list every morning, your corrections remembered as rules, outcomes read from the data that follows, and the ledger of what was identified, actioned, observed and attributed. Priced by how many sites it runs across, at the tiers published above.

The loop running, with a record of what it changed.

Free fit check, then a fixed-fee diagnostic on your real data, then an ongoing subscription only if both sides see enough recurring value. The diagnostic fee is quoted for your business and agreed in writing before any data is shared. The subscription prices are published.

THE TIERS

One price per site. Monthly, or annual for less.

Pick the tier that matches how many sites you run, and the period that suits you: monthly cancels from any month, annual costs less and commits you for the year. Estates larger than the top tier are quoted directly, because the architecture around inter-site transfers and separate price books is not something we will promise as unlimited before it has demonstrated it.

What the price actually is

The unit
One subscription per site, per month. Not per user, not per order, and not an estate priced as though it were one shop.
Billing
Monthly, per site. Cancel from any month, with no notice period.
Seats
Everyone in the business, included. We never price by user.
Our cut
None of your order value, collections or rebates. We never hold or fund your money.
Commitment
None before a diagnostic has run on your own data.
The diagnostic
A separate fixed fee, quoted per account and agreed in writing before it starts.

The tier is set by how many sites you run. The morning list, the evidence behind every figure and your corrections are in all three; the higher tiers add the work that only exists once you have several sites and a supplier book to reconcile across them.

What each tier includes

What each tier includes, by feature
FeatureTier 1Tier 2Tier 3
Morning list every dayEvery morning, before the vans go out, MarginLoop puts a short list on your screen: the handful of decisions worth making today, in the order they are worth money. Not a report you have to interpret — specific lines, suppliers and customers, each with the figure attached and what to do about it. Most of what a wholesaler loses is lost quietly, a few pounds at a time, on the days when nobody had time to look. This is the ten minutes that catches it.IncludedIncludedIncluded
Trapped cash and reorder alertsShows exactly how much of your money is sitting on the shelf and not moving, line by line, worst first — and the opposite: the fast lines you are about to run out of, before the gap costs you the sale. Most wholesalers are overstocked on the wrong things and short on the right ones at the same time. This puts a pound figure on both, so you can free up cash tied to stock that will not sell and put it into stock that will.IncludedIncludedIncluded
Slow line alertsFlags lines that have quietly stopped selling, while there is still time to do something about them. A product that sold steadily for two years and then stopped rarely announces it — it just sits there ageing until someone notices at stocktake. MarginLoop notices in the same week the pattern changes, tells you how much is tied up and how long it has been slowing, so you can promote it, discount it, or stop reordering it.Not includedNot includedIncluded
Duplicate and cannibalising line detectionFinds the same product sitting in your system under two or three different codes, and the lines that are quietly eating each other's sales. Duplicates happen to everyone: a supplier changes a pack size, someone re-keys a description, a new buyer sets up a code that already exists. The cost is real — split sales history, stock counted in two places, and rebates missed because the volume was never added up as one product. MarginLoop groups them and shows you what putting them back together is worth. Not includedNot includedIncluded
Stock count trust checksTells you which of your stock figures you can act on and which you cannot. It compares what your system says you hold against what your purchases and sales say should be there, and puts the lines where the two disagree in front of you. A count you cannot trust is worse than no count at all, because you order against it. This is the check that shows you where the numbers have drifted, and by how much, before you place a buying decision on top of them. Not includedNot includedIncluded
Order capture from textTurns the orders that arrive as a voice note, a message or a scribbled list into proper order lines against real products in your catalogue. Your customers order the way they have always ordered, and someone in your office re-types it — slowly, and occasionally wrongly. MarginLoop reads the message, matches each item to the right code and pack size, and shows you what it matched so you can confirm it in seconds instead of keying it in.Not includedNot includedIncluded
Supplier rebate claimsKeeps track of every rebate and volume deal you have agreed with your suppliers, works out what you have actually earned, and tells you what has not been claimed. Rebate money is agreed once, in a meeting or an email, and then quietly forgotten by everyone except the supplier. MarginLoop measures your real purchases against the terms, shows you the claim with the figures behind it, and tells you when you are close enough to the next threshold that buying a little more pays for itself. Not includedIncludedIncluded
Automatic customer remindersSpots the customers who have quietly stopped ordering — before they are gone for good — and tells you who to ring today. Very few customers leave with a phone call. They order a bit less, then a bit less, then not at all, and nobody notices until the year-end figures. MarginLoop learns each customer's normal rhythm and flags the ones who have broken it, with what they used to spend and how long it has been. Not includedIncludedIncluded
Supplier groupsLets you treat several supplier accounts as one, so spend, buying and rebate figures add up the way your deal actually works. Most wholesalers buy from the same group through two or three accounts — a branch account, a cash-and-carry account, a direct account — while the rebate is negotiated across all of them. Grouping them means you see the whole relationship in one place, and claim against the whole of it.Not includedIncludedIncluded
Customer cash exposureShows how much of your cash is sitting with your customers rather than in your bank: who owes what, how long it has been outstanding, and which balances are drifting the wrong way. Selling more to a customer who is already slow to pay is not growth, it is lending. This puts the number in front of you before you load the van, not after the invoice has aged. Not includedNot includedIncluded
Credit exposure alertsWarns you when a customer's balance, order pattern or payment behaviour has moved past what you would knowingly have agreed to. Credit limits get set once and then outlive the reason they were set. MarginLoop watches the exposure as it changes — the balance, the ageing, what is on order but not yet invoiced — and tells you which accounts to look at while there is still something to do other than write it off.Not includedNot includedIncluded
Festival and season planningTells you what to buy, and when, for the dates your trade actually runs on. Festivals move in the calendar, seasons start early or late, and last year's order sheet is only right by accident. MarginLoop lines up what you sold around each event in previous years against this year's dates, and gives you a buying plan per line with enough lead time to place it.Not includedNot includedIncluded
Buying windowsShows what you have actually been paying for each line over time, and tells you when the price in front of you is a good one. Suppliers change prices constantly, and the deal that sounded good on the phone is hard to judge against a year of invoices. MarginLoop keeps that history and flags the moments worth buying deeper — and the moments where the "offer" is above what you paid last month. Not includedNot includedIncluded
Named contact for your teamA person at MarginLoop who knows your business, your systems and your data, and whom your team can contact directly. Not a ticket queue and not a chatbot: the same named contact for getting set up, for loading your history, for the awkward file a supplier sends every month, and for the question that is faster to answer on a call. Not includedNot includedIncluded

THE PRINCIPLE

We price against what recurs, not against the headline number

A one-off figure, stock above target that you are holding today, is not a subscription benefit. It is a single correction. What you pay every month should be justified by what keeps recurring: rebate conditions caught each period, cover held where you set it, accounts seen while the drift is still small.

It is the difference between a number that reads well in a sentence and a number that survives twelve months. A monthly fee measured against a one-off finding always looks small for the month it lands and large as a share of that finding, annualised. We quote against the honest annual figure.

THE LINES WE WON'T CROSS

Five things our pricing will never do

No percentage of order value, collections or rebates recovered. Recurring software is the whole economic model.

No lender fees, no factoring, no cut of anything moving through your accounts. We never hold or fund your money.

No long-term contract before proof. The diagnostic exists so neither of us has to guess.

No pricing against the total ever surfaced. Only against what is likely to keep recurring.

No money-back guarantee, and no free diagnostic. The fit check is free; the diagnostic is a quoted fixed fee, payable whatever it finds. A refund tied to the subscription price tells you nothing about whether the work was worth doing. The success measures we agree in writing before it starts do.

FAQ

Three more about the commercial side

No long-term contract and no per-seat charge. Subscription pricing is published per site and cancellable monthly. The diagnostic comes first: a fixed fee, agreed in writing before data is shared. MarginLoop never takes a percentage of orders, collections or rebates.
