Commercial intelligence for UK wholesale
Find supplier rebates, trapped stock and customer drift before the day starts.
Built first for UK South Asian wholesalers, distributors and cash & carries.
Every morning, a short ranked list of supplier rebates to check, stock tying up working capital, and customer payment or buying behaviour worth attention. Built from data you already keep.
No data required. We check whether your systems can support a meaningful test.
- Read-only. Nothing is written back.
- You approve every commercial action.

A receivable, working capital and a timing effect are three different kinds of money, so MarginLoop never adds them into one headline.

One ranked list, before the working day starts
Never more than five lines, delivered by WhatsApp or email. Each names the number, its basis, and the decision it asks of you.
REBATE TO CHECK
CALCULATED£740
High confidenceGill Foods passed its 1,000-case tier on 14 August. No credit note has arrived.
Why this is on today's list
Three weeks on from the crossing date, the purchase ledger still shows no credit note against this tier.
What you might do
Check the agreement, then raise the claim if you agree it is due. MarginLoop does not contact your supplier. It becomes REBATE VERIFIED when the credit note appears in your purchase ledger, and not before. MarginLoop reads that from the data rather than asking anyone to confirm it.

The arithmetic
£29,600 of qualifying spend at 2.5% is £740. The purchase ledger shows no credit note against it, so the difference is £740.
Rebate opportunity, not owed · £148
A second tier at 1,400 cases is 240 cases away, roughly 2.5 weeks at your current rate. Reaching it would be worth about £148. That is a purchasing decision, not money you are owed, so it is never added to the figure above.
Some mornings, the right commercial decision is not to act.
Line five recommends nothing. Line four asserts no figure because the evidence does not yet support one.
See a figure worked out in fullTHREE OUTCOMES
Owed. Stuck. Slipping.
Every pound MarginLoop shows is one of three kinds of money. They behave differently, so they are not added into one total.
OWED
Money a supplier appears to owe you
Supplier value that appears to have been earned but not reconciled.
£740 to check with one supplier in the worked example
STUCK
Money sitting on the shelf
Working capital held in inventory above the cover you agreed.
£6,826 above target cover on one line
SLIPPING
Money leaving quietly
Customer, category, payment or margin changes before they are obvious.
£2,300 held longer than usual across 4 accounts
SHOW THE WORKING
Don't trust the number. Check it.
Every pound opens. Each figure shows the source data behind it, the arithmetic, the assumptions, and how confident MarginLoop is. Where the evidence is not strong enough, no figure is asserted.
Every figure carries one of these, and a confidence
WHY IT MATTERS
What changes on Monday morning
| Area | Today | With MarginLoop |
|---|---|---|
| Owed | Rebates claimed when somebody remembers, if the paperwork can be found. | See when a rebate condition appears to have been met, and what evidence supports it. |
| Stuck | Ordering from memory, and from what looks low on the shelf. | Weeks of cover measured against the target you set, with lead time and what is already on order. |
| Slipping | You notice an account when it has already gone quiet. | See deteriorating payment behaviour before the next delivery leaves. |
HOW IT FITS
A decision layer above the systems you already run
- EPOS records sales.
- Accounting records invoices and settlements.
- Inventory software records stock and purchasing.
MarginLoop reads across those histories, supplier terms and customer behaviour, then ranks what deserves attention. It replaces none of them and writes to none of them.
Can't Sage or my EPOS do this?WHAT HAPPENS AFTERWARDS
Identified, actioned, observed, attributed
Finding something is the easy half. The ledger follows each pound from the morning it was raised to the evidence that arrived afterwards, and separates what happened from what MarginLoop can reasonably take credit for.
01 Identified
MarginLoop raised it on a morning list, with its working attached.
02 Actioned
Your team changed something: a claim, a paused order, a call.
03 Observed
The expected downstream event occurred in the data that followed.
04 Attributed
Only where the evidence links that outcome to the action taken.
Twelve months of the worked example
A worked example using realistic trade data, not a customer result.| Kind of money | Identified | Actioned | Observed | Attributed |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| OWEDSupplier credits claimed and received | £11,200 | £9,400 | £7,400 | £6,900 |
| STUCKReduction in stock above agreed cover | £13,700 | £9,100 | £8,200 | £7,300 |
| SLIPPINGPayment timing back towards account average | £6,800 | £4,300 | £3,500 | £2,600 |
No total across the three rows. A supplier credit, a reduction in stock and a change in payment timing are three different economic events.
What a pound needs before it is attributed
- OWEDA credit note matching the claim appears in your purchase ledger after the finding was raised, moving it from REBATE TO CHECK to REBATE VERIFIED.
- STUCKYou accepted a pause or reduction in purchasing, and stock above agreed cover then fell without a stockout. Stock that simply sold down is observed, not attributed.
- SLIPPINGThe account was contacted, and its days-to-pay then returned towards its own average. An account that drifted back without any action is observed, not attributed.
The columns narrow from left to right. You decline some findings, a supplier disputes some claims, and some change would have happened anyway. Each gap can be opened, line by line.

WHO IT IS FOR
Who it is for
Built first for UK South Asian wholesalers, distributors and cash & carries, where margin is thin, ranges are wide, rebates are real money, and the calendar moves.

Distributors
Hundreds of trade accounts, and rebate agreements across a dozen suppliers with nobody reconciling them.
First look: rebate tiers that appear to have been crossed.

Importers
Container-level buying, long lead times, and landed costs where a month of extra cover ties up serious money for a quarter.
First look: the lines carrying cover you did not intend.

Cash & carries
Wide ranges, walk-in trade, and stock figures that drift from the shelf faster than anyone can count them.
First look: the slow lines occupying your floor space.
Running one or two shops rather than a wholesale operation? MarginLoop may still help, but wholesale is what it is built for first.
THE RESEARCH
We spoke to 15 businesses. The same three commercial problems kept recurring.
14 of 15
could not confirm whether earned supplier rebates had been received.
15 of 15
were carrying lines beyond chosen cover levels, without knowing which lines.
11 of 15
had lost an account, or watched one halve, before their system flagged it.

TRADING CALENDAR
Your trading calendar moves.
Ramadan, Eid, Diwali and other demand periods do not stay on the same Gregorian dates. MarginLoop aligns your own sales history to days-before-event, rather than simply comparing March with March.

The tier is set by how many sites you run. The morning list, the evidence behind every figure and your corrections are in all three; the higher tiers add the work that only exists once you have several sites and a supplier book to reconcile across them.
What the price actually is
- The unit
- One subscription per site, per month. Not per user, not per order, and not an estate priced as though it were one shop.
- Billing
- Monthly, per site. Cancel from any month, with no notice period.
- Seats
- Everyone in the business, included. We never price by user.
- Our cut
- None of your order value, collections or rebates. We never hold or fund your money.
- Commitment
- None before a diagnostic has run on your own data.
- The diagnostic
- A separate fixed fee, quoted per account and agreed in writing before it starts.
HOW IT STARTS
Three steps, and what each one costs
Nobody is asked to commit to software before a diagnostic has run against their own figures. Here is the whole sequence, so there is nothing to discover on the call.
Step 1
Fit check
Free · thirty minutes · no data needed
We look at what systems you run, what you can export from them, and whether there is a commercial question here worth answering. If your data will not support one, we say so on the call.
An honest answer about whether to go further.
Step 2
Paid diagnostic
Real data · one defined question · fixed fee agreed before any data is shared
We ingest your real sales, purchase, stock and supplier data, produce the morning list it would have sent, and hand over the evidence behind every line, measured against one or two success criteria we agree first, so neither of us argues about it afterwards.
Your own morning list, and an evidence pack built from your figures.
Step 3
Ongoing subscription
Optional monthly subscription · per site, at the published tier price
Only if both sides see enough recurring value. Recurring ingestion, a fresh list every morning, your corrections remembered as rules, outcomes read from the data that follows, and the ledger of what was identified, actioned, observed and attributed. Priced by how many sites it runs across, at the tiers published above.
The loop running, with a record of what it changed.
Free fit check, then a fixed-fee diagnostic on your real data, then an ongoing subscription only if both sides see enough recurring value. The diagnostic fee is quoted for your business and agreed in writing before any data is shared. The subscription prices are published.

Questions people ask before the call
MarginLoop shows where the system figure and the evidence disagree, but somebody still has to check the shelf. You correct the reason: product match, stock figure, target cover, or buying choice. That rule is then applied to the next list.
Thirty minutes to find out whether it fits.
No data required. We check your exports and whether a paid diagnostic is worth running.
Bring an export.
Or just ring. It is usually quicker. Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm.
We do not sell your figures.
- Diagnostic fee agreed before data is shared.
- Pilot measures agreed upfront.
- No percentage of orders, collections or rebates.
